Surah 106. Quraish
(It is a great blessing and protection from Allah) for the safety of Quraish (caretaker of the house of Allah)
«لإيلاف قريش»
Verse 1for the safe passage (of their trade caravans) in winter and summer
«إيلافهم» تأكيد وهو مصدر آلف بالمد «رحلة الشتاء» إلى اليمن «و» رحلة «الصيف» إلى الشام في كل عام، يستعينون بالرحلتين للتجارة على المقام بمكة لخدمة البيت الذي هو فخرهم، وهم ولد النضر بن كنانة
Verse 2So let them worship the Lord of this house (the Ka’bah in Makkah)
«فليعبدوا» تعلق به لإيلاف والفاء زائدة «رب هذا البيت»
Verse 3who provided them food against hunger and made them safe against fear
«الذي أطعمهم من جوع» أي من أجله «وآمنهم من خوف» أي من أجله وكان يصيبهم الجوع لعدم الزرع بمكة وخافوا جيش الفيل
